THE BOTANIST ISLAY DRY GIN
The Wild Spirit of Scotland
The Scottish island of Islay is famed around the globe for its peaty single malt whiskies. But it is also home to an extraordinary gin: The Botanist.
This is a pure expression of the wildness at the heart of Islay. Nine classic gin spices are joined with 22 selected botanicals that grow exclusively in the island — including downy birch, creeping thistle, water mint and gorse — to produce a spirit of unbelievably nuanced aromas. The Botanist is distilled in the "Ugly Betty," a unique Lomond Pot Still. Here the essence of the blossoms and herbs are gleaned slowly and exceptionally gently — the only way to capture the scent and soul of Islay's wild state of mind. Once this extremely slow distillation is complete, drinkers can revel in a hand-crafted new and wild generation of premium gin.
