CAORUNN
Gin with Celtic roots
The Scottish Speyside is world-famous for its Scotch whiskeys. The centuries-old experience in distilling finest single malts enables the local master distillers of the Balmanach distillery to leave their mark on the Small Batch of Gin Caorunn, the Gaelic word for rowan berry, which is pronounced Ka’ru:n.
Finest wheat distillate, crystal-clear Scottish mountain spring water and handpicked botanicals make Caorunn a premium gin. Apart from typical botanicals such as juniper or coriander, it is five traditional Celtic botanicals such as rowan berry, sweetgale or bog myrtle, heather, dandelion and Coul Blush apples who contribute their distinctive character to Caorunn, making it a hallmark of the Scottish culinary culture. The distillation process is carried out solely four times in copper stills and in small batches of 1,000 liters each. The result is a perfectly balanced, aromatic Gin with fresh notes of flowers and citrus fruits and pleasant pungency on the palate.
