ANDERRA
Rothschild conquers the New World
In Bordeaux, Baron Philippe de Rothschild made history with his wines. But even far away from home one puts out his feelers to something - always looking for unique terroirs and new challenges.
From 1997, Philippe de Rothschild endeavoured an increasing investment in Chilean viticulture. Unhurriedly the Rothschild winemakers combed through the Chilean countryside, until they finally discovered matching allotments in Valle de Maipo, Valle del Rapel, Valle de Curicó and Valle de Maule to realize their vision of independent Chilean varietal wines. Under the auspices of Emmanuel Riffaud authentic wines arise, in which the extraordinary aromatic range of Chilean terroir merges with the expertise of Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Their name „Anderra“ is an artful combination of the words "Andes" and "Tierra".
