There are only agave brandies produced in Mexico, more precisely from the vicinity of the town of Tequila, which may bear „Tequila“ as the designation of origin. This indication of country origin was introduced in 1978. Due to the geographical distinctions, the Tequila brandies benefit from a very diversified climate.
